Named endowments for the purpose of scholarships, teacher salaries, tuition assistance, and/or general operating needs require a minimum gift of $10,000 to establish. In the event that a donor/donor family does not have the full requisite $10,000, then endowments may be created with a $5,000 “down payment” with the remaining $5,000 to be paid over a five-year period. Annual payouts from the endowment to the school will not be made until the named fund is fully endowed at the $10,000 level.
If you are interested in creating a named endowment for special projects or programs at Regina or would like to initiate a named fund to benefit teacher salaries, tuition assistance, general operating needs or other determined areas of need, please contact the Foundation office. |

Toni & Arie Kroeze
|
| |
Arie and Toni Kroeze were born and raised in Holland, and came to the United States in 1952. Ultimately, the Kroezes became one of Iowa City‛s well-known business families with Pleasant Valley Garden Center, Golf Course and a nursery & landscaping venture.
Their children, Aleda and Rich, and granddaughters, Jessie, Katie and Missie, are all Regina graduates. Both personally and as business people, the Kroeze family have supported Regina through gifts of time, talent and treasure. A few years ago, Toni and Arie gave the ultimate gift of a Charitable Remainder Trust, valued at approximately a quarter of a million dollars, to the Regina Foundation to benefit Regina.
After Arie‛s death in April 2006, Toni established an endowed fund to assist Regina with the growing costs of tuition assistance awards to deserving students and families who choose a Catholic education at Regina. In doing so, Arie and Toni‛s generosity will live on forever as Regina will annually receive a $500 tuition assistance award for as long as the school is operational.
